Spring Break 2012

While our Spring Break wasn't ideal with all the rain we had the boys and I were determined to make the most of the time we had together.

Day 1 - Errands...for a mom that works the day off during the week provides me time to do the errands I don't get done while I am at work so first thing in the morning we headed to Wal-Mart. I had been meaning to register for our new arrival but had not been able to get to it. The boys were troopers as we spent two hours at Wal-Mart doing the baby registry and shopping for groceries for the week. We also picked out supplies to make signs for the half marathon. Brian and Aunt Abby are running in the race and we want to show our support when they cross the finish line!

After a hard day of making signs and shopping we needed a break and decided to go to Yum Yo's...the boys favorite ice cream place. They mostly just get candy and don't eat a lot of the ice cream but it sure does put a smile on their face every time we go.

Day 2 - Still raining....we had a lazy morning of hanging around the house and then we picked up Dad and took him out to his favorite place for lunch...Jimmy John's. The boys love Jimmy John's too. After that we went to the associate store where we found some swim accessories for our outing we were taking on Wednesday to the pool. After we dropped Dad off at work we went back home and made cookies. The boys loved to help but I think they liked licking the beaters more. When we finished with our cookies we packed some up and took them to Aunt Abby's office to share with her co-workers. I am pretty sure she was ready to see us go as the boys had decorated her office with post it notes.

Day 3 - Still raining...in the morning we made cinnamon rolls for breakfast. That is one thing I have enjoyed this week is having breakfast with the boys every day. The we got dressed and headed for the pool. The boys had a blast swimming and Breckin is doing so good at swimming by himself!

After a hard time swimming we picked up Aunt Abby and Dad and we let the boys choose lunch. They picked Wendy's. We ate lunch and went and got the oil changed in the car so we would be ready to drive to Tulsa on Friday. Then we came home to play Kinnect. Breckin had so much fun with all the different games. Kyson is still a little young and lost interest and went to the room to watch something on Netflix.

Day 4 - No rain but it was cold. I had a normal doctor's visit in the morning so Dad stayed home with the kids. When I got back we packed lunches and we thought we would go have a picnic at Orchard's Park. When we got there it was a little too cold so we decided to just eat in the car. After we finished our lunch we went to Crystal Bridges. The boys had never been and they were actually way more impressed than I thought they would be. When you check in they give the kids a book all about the museum and what fun things are in there. After we finished Breckin asked if we could walk through it again.

That night we took the boys to see Journey 2 and they loved the movie. They are like their Dad and really enjoy going to the movies.

Day5 - Friday we headed to Tulsa to meet my sister with her kids and my parents and we took Aunt Abby with us. The boys always love to see their cousins and spend time with them. We took them to the aquarium where they were able to see sharks and feed turtles and sting rays. I think they really enjoyed it.

The crew...hard to believe next year their will be 5 of them...

After the aquarium we went to Los Cobos for lunch! One of my favorite places! The we let Mason and Breckin open their birthday gifts since we missed each other birthdays due to sporting events and other things going on. After that we took a family trip to the new Sam's in West Tulsa. It was a fun day with the family!

Even if Spring Break was a little rainy it sure was nice being home with the boys and spending time with them before our new little guy arrives.

Breckin's 7th Birthday

Breckin turned 7 this year and he wanted to celebrate with a party at Fast Lane's with his friends. His party was not until Saturday but his actual birthday was on Friday so Friday we let him pick dinner. He chose On the Border and ended up getting chicken. Silly boy!

After dinner we went to the movies to see John Carter. I didn't realize how long that movie would be but the boys set through all two and a half hours of it and they were really good.

The next day was his birthday party with his friends. We did Laser Tag and arcade so they each got to play two games of Laser Tag which Breckin did really well and beat Brian and they got a 30 min arcade card to play games. They had such a great time.

After all the excitement we had pizza and cake. We got the BIG pizza and had a ton left over. He said it was the best birthday ever and I am so excited he had a great time. I can't believe he is 7 now and growing up WAY too fast. I can't imagine life without him and we are so blessed to have him in our lives. We love you Breckin!

Long time...no blog! Catch up!

It has been so long since I have been on here so I have decided that I need to get in the habit of blogging before the new baby arrives. Yes...we are having another precious boy and he is expected to arrive May 23rd. We are really excited and I think Breckin and Kyson are excited as well. They are going to be great big brothers. Besides this big news...Breckin has turned 7 and is in the 1st grade. He has grown up so much since he started 1st grade. He is so smart and does well on his school work. Kyson has now 4 and he is the life of the party. They keep us busy but we wouldn't have it any other way. I love these boys so I am really looking forward to a third. Brian and I celebrated our 12th anniversary in August. I can't believe it has been 12 years...it has flown by. Brian took a job over on the Membership Insights team in ISD which mean less traveling which I am really excited about. I am still planning in the fresh food area of Sam's Club. I was so excited and honored to receive the Planner of the Year this year. It was such a great accomplishment for me. Here are some pics to catch you up on us from the time I have missed!
