Christmas in Branson

Every year we head up to Branson to see the lights at Silver Dollar City. I LOVE it there. We have been going since before the kids were born and now it is fun to take them to see it. My parents went with us and my Dad really wanted to take the boys on the Showboat Branson Belle so that was the first thing we did when we got to town.

The next day we headed out to Silver Dollar City to enjoy the lights and the great Christmas atmosphere.

It was such a great family trip. I would post pics in here of my parents but I am still afraid of my mom and she would probably kill me if I did that.

Kick off the Holiday party

My friends decided we needed to get into the holiday spirit by have a "Kick off the holiday season" party. I think we can find any excuse to get together for girls time. We all went over to Liz's and had finger foods and wine and some of us attempted to make gingerbread houses. It really was a fun night with a great group of friends!

Breckin's Awards Assembly

Each month at the beginning of the month Breckin's school has an awards assembly where they present a couple of awards for each class to kids that are great helpers, or have great reading skill or math skill or have improved in spelling or sight words. Breckin got one for the month of November for knowing all of his sight words. I was so proud of him. He really likes trying to sound out words and reading books so we can get a personal pan pizza from pizza hut. I was one very proud mom!

Halloween 2010

The kids had a great time at Halloween with multiple parties. We started with one in Breckin's class at school. I am the home room mom so planned out the activities for the kids. They had bags to decorate to put candy in, we did Halloween tattoos and made little monsters. We had apples and grapes with caramel dipping sauce and fruit dip. The kids had a great time. One of the kids favorite teachers had a Halloween party and we didn't know until that day it would be the last time we would be at their house. They were moving to Texas and Kyson really misses seeing his Rosie everyday.

Getting ready for Rosie's party!

Kyson with is little friend Onika. She is so adorable!

The next day we took the kids to Bella Vista park where they ran a 1K. I was proud of both of them and they were so proud of themselves when they crossed the finish line and got their medal.

That night was Liz's Birthday/Halloween party for the adults. We all went to Aloft and had a great time! Some great costumes.

Buzzi Company Picnic

The Buzzi Company, formally known as Lonestar had its 50 year anniversary this year. They celebrated with a picnic out at the plant with all the families. My Dad was so proud to show off his grandsons and show them where he has worked since before I was born. During the summers in college I was out there with him. It was a great summer job for me! We all had to wear hard hats, safety glasses and ear plugs. It is loud, dusty and hot out there! I have to say I have a lot of respect for my dad for him being out there for 30 plus years. I know he did it to give his girls the life he wanted us to have. I love you Dad!

Kyson was ready for his plant tour.

Kyson rode his first pony at the picnic. He loved it and we had no allergic reactions!

The Fire Chief came out with the fire truck and the kids had free reign to roam around and do what they wanted. Kyson LOVES flashlights so the fireman showed him every flashlight they have in the truck. They have a lot of flashlights.

Kyson loved driving the truck.

McDonald County High School Homecoming

If there is one thing I like just as much as college football it is high school football. I was so excited when my cousin called me and said her daughter had been chosen as Sr. attendant for McDonald County High. I have such fond memories of high school football games so we packed up and headed over to see her and all the excitement around homecoming.

It all started with a Black Hawk helicopter bringing in the game ball for the Homecoming queen. The boys thought this was awesome. They sat so still while the chopper was coming in to land.

My cousin Chelsea...she is beautiful.

I think the boys enjoyed their first High School football game. I am looking forward to them being older and building the same memories I did at high school football games.

Football Season!!!

Saturdays around here used to be all about football...until Breckin started to play soccer. Now we do soccer and rush home to start watching the best football game on TV. Even though we are in Arkansas we still love OU and the boys love to wear their jerseys and be just like Dad. They all looked so cute one day I had to get a picture. Boomer Sooner!!!
