First day of Kindergarten

Breckin was so excited to go to Kindergarten. He couldn't stop talking about it. He would tell everyone we saw at Wal-Mart that asked him anything that he was going to Kindergarten...no matter what they were talking about. He got up, got dressed, brushed his teeth and made his bed all by himself. We started a chore chart for all of these things so we will see how long that lasts.

His teacher's name is Mrs. MacLean. She has been teaching Kindergarten for 19 years so I think she has probably seen it all. I really happy to have her as his teacher.

He was so excited that one of his friends from preschool was in his class. He and Rylee have been going to the same daycare since they were babies so it was nice that he had a friend.

Kyson couldn't resist getting a picture in with Breckin. He was really excited that Breckin was going to school. He says he wants to go to school when he is a big boy too.

We had to get a family picture in as well so Carla (Rylee's Mom) was kind enough to take a picture of all of us.

There is no time for messing around in Kindergarten. The teacher already had an assignment for them when we got there. He also had homework the very first night. Not sure if they are trying to keep the kids busy or the parents. For the most part he had a great first day and was so excited to go back for day 2.

Better Late Than Never

Breckin starting school was fast approaching and we needed to have one last family vacation before he went off to Kindergarten. Our family has always enjoyed Branson as a little weekend get away so we purchased our tickets to Silver Dollar City, got a hotel room and off we went. The boys were beyond excited but you can't tell from these pictures. They were asleep before we were even to Branson.

We had such a great time at Sliver Dollar City. We rode almost every ride the boys possible could and I was so proud of Breckin because normally that isn't his thing and he doesn't like rides at all. He was running to each ride and so excited. Kyson would be really excited and then not talk at all when we got on the ride but at the end he said he liked it. We got our season passes so we will be going back before the year ends.

We rode the train which Breckin has named Frisco and they have a little show in the middle of the train ride where the robbers come and rob the train and Kyson was so excited to give them money. Breckin just wanted to watch from in between Brian and I.

We stayed at the Best Western close to Sliver Dollar City and they had an indoor pool and kiddie pool. They boys were so excited to swim every night. They also had an arcade that we visited very frequently and they had a breakfast buffet every morning where the boys loaded up on donuts.

We ended our last night with a dinner at the Fish House at the Landing. The food was so good and the boys were so excited to get to feed the fish after dinner.

Bailey Family Fun Night

Tonight Brian and I thought it would be fun to take the boys out and do something exciting just as a family. The boys chose to go to Fast Lanes in Rogers. It is a huge arcade with bowling and go-karts. They are also adding mini golf. The boys had a great time. We had dinner and then went bowling.

Kyson had a little advantage and proceeded to beat Brian and I. I have a hard enough time breaking 100. Both my boys did great! Here is our scorecard.

After dinner and bowling we played some arcade games and the kids got over 100 tickets. Breckin of course got silly bands with his tickets and Kyson decided on some candy, a dice and a Sponge Bob figure. We had a great family outing and I can't wait until we can do it again.

4th of July

The day started off great with the grill going at 7 in the morning.

We had 3 racks of spare ribs, 3 racks of baby back ribs, 18 chicken breasts, 15 sausages, and 20 hot dogs. We had a ton of leftovers that we will be eating all week which is good for me so I don't have to cook!

The boys were so excited for the fireworks. I was afraid they would be scared but they were out there right in the middle of it.

We had a huge stash of fireworks this year thanks to the Zotti's, Hayden's, and Eric Molle. The show was great! The guys did a great job lighting all fireworks and the kids loved it. I can't wait to see all of Eric's pictures.

The boys had a great time. Kyson loved the sparklers and Breckin just thought the punk was a sparkler. Kyson was not a big fan of the large fireworks but he was a trooper and sat outside the entire time. Breckin kept sneaking into the house and eating cookies. He didn't care to watch the fireworks. We had a great time with great family and friends! It was a perfect day.

Family time at Woolaroc

Took the family to Woolaroc...the last time I was there Brian and I did an 8K and then just left and the time before that I think I was in 4th grade. The kids loved it. We went with Grammy and Grampy and Brian's sister Abby and his nephew Xavier met us there. They had such great kids activities where they could make Indian headbands and pan for gold. There were also real cowboys riding around on horses. Kyson got a little confused when the horse made noise thinking it was a cow because we called the guy riding him a cowboy. It was cute. Breckin was really interested in the museum. Not sure if it was because it was air conditioned or if he really enjoyed it. After we left Woolaroc we went to Brian's favorite hometown place to eat called Murphy's for a famous "hot cheeseburger". It is a burger with fries on top covered in brown gravy. Not a favorite of mine but he loves it. The boys crashed on the way back to Pryor. It was a great day!

A New Year

Today is a new day and a new year. We rang in the new year at James and Alan's. Lots of fun with beer pong and Rock Band. The boys stayed home with Aunt Abby and I think Breckin only stayed up until 9:30. Today is a new start! 2009 wasn't the best of years and I think 2010 will hopefully bring health and happiness to our family. Made my resolution list today and I am ready to get a fresh start. I have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to look forward to in 2010. Here is to 2010 and it being a great year!
